Dean Lance on JT's surgery

North Queensland Cowboys football manager talks about Johnathan Thurston's knee surgery

Ankle injury or not?

Hard to believe that during the Townsville Crocodiles upset 97-93 win over the Perth Wildcats last night Corey "Homicide" Williams didn't even flinch when this ankle roll occurred! Bet he didn't even know he did it - I'm sure he'll get a surprise when he sees it however!

Season ender for Darren Lockyer

Despite narrowly beating the Cowboys 24-16 at Dairy Farmers, Brisbane left Townsville with long faces. Kangaroos, Maroons and Broncos captain Darren Lockyer suffered a season-ending ACL injury that will require surgery and put him out of action until 2008.
Sports betting agencies instantly lengthened the odds of Brisbane taking out the NRL title which speaks volumes for the skill and leadership shown by the Broncos stalwart.
If we could have only met a Lockyer-less Broncos this round. Which makes me wonder... Is a Lockyer-less Broncos as vulnerable as a Johns-less Knights or a Thurston-less Cowboys?

Love to know your thoughts!
